First Sasha Baron Cohen left the movie, then Bryan Singer got booted off as director; we truly didn’t have much hope for a great Queen biopic. But, and we’re saying this with a fair amount of trepidation, the movie actually doesn’t look too bad. At least from what was revealed during the first teaser trailer for Bohemian Rhapsody.

The music is pumping, Rami Malek (Mr. Robot) as Freddie is rocking the role, and even Bryan May (Gwilym Lee, The Tourist) is looking sharp. IMDB states that the movie traces the rise of Queen until their astounding appearance at Live Aid, held in London's Wembley Stadium on 13 July 1985 (video posted below). How much will be devoted to Mercury’s tragic death and the band’s continuation afterwards remain to be seen.

Bohemian Rhapsody is getting a 24 October 2018 debut in the UK. Hit play below to see Malek as Mercury, and to listen to the awesome work the music producer did for the trailer.
