With so many exclusive titles set for release on its platform in forthcoming months, some may have forgotten about Forza Horizon 3. The racing franchise, available only on Xbox One and Windows 10 PCs come 27 September has just passed a significant milestone, achieving Gold status, which should be welcome news for gamers aiming to test their skill against others online.

To mark the occasion, Forza Horizon 3 has also detailed a new vehicle that'll join an estimated 350-plus cars already available in-game. It should prove familiar for many Halo gamers, or fans of the Master Chief: the Warthog

While the Warthog may exist in the world of Halo, Forza Motorsport has declassified it as such, for civilian gamer use. To that end, it houses a 536 kW twin-turbocharged V8 engine that should put most off-roaders and rally cars to shame. Unfortunately, there isn't any turret on this version (much to our chagrin), but Forza Motorsport says the Warthog is ideal for the Australian tracks and trails found in-game.

To see the Warthog in action, hit play on the video after the break.
