Open-access fibre infrastructure provider Frogfoot Networks has launched Frogfoot Leap in Lotus Gardens, Tshwane. Frogfoot Leap is the latest addition to Frogfoot’s prepaid fibre portfolio and is aimed at communities looking for affordable and uncapped home internet without long-term contracts.

“Frogfoot developed Frogfoot Leap to make fibre more accessible by removing barriers such as contracts and complicated sign-up processes and to give households greater control over how they purchase internet access. We have launched at Lotus Gardens in Tshwane, covering 4,000 homes, and additional launch areas will be announced as the rollout expands nationally,” says Shane Chorley, CEO at Frogfoot Networks.

Frogfoot Leap follows the same simple prepaid model as Frogfoot Rise, while providing higher-speed connectivity options for households with greater connectivity needs. Frogfoot Leap offers packages ranging from 100/50Mbps to 500/500Mbps.

Customers are provided with a Wi-Fi-enabled Frogfoot ONT, meaning they do not need to purchase a separate router. Up to 10 devices can connect to the Wi-Fi service at the same time. Customers who need to connect additional devices via Ethernet can also activate additional ports through Frogfoot’s Port Booster value-added service.

In areas covered by Frogfoot Leap, homes will be connected to Frogfoot’s network via aerial fibre, and residents can easily register on the Frogfoot Leap website, choose a participating Internet Service Provider (ISP), and simply recharge with prepaid vouchers as and when they need connectivity access.
