While the past week has been dominated by news of the iPhone X, it's time to turn our attention to Google's latest offering. On 4 October Google will showcase its Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL smartphones, which is a full year to the day that the current offering was first revealed

To mark the impending event, just as it did last year, Google has released a video to get consumers interested. While several rumours about the device have been circulating over the past few months, the video below does hint at a few elements that Google will be addressing for the Pixel 2

As such, a typical Google search bar appears in the video, with a series of smartphone related questions being entered. Based off the questions, it appears the focus of the Pixel 2 will be a bigger battery, more storage space (likely cloud-based), a camera that takes less blurry photos and a more intuitive Google Assistant experience.

All will be revealed on 4 October, with things set to start from 18:00 (SAST). With three weeks to go until the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL get revealed, this won't be the last bit of information we receive about this pair of devices, so expect leaks aplenty.
