If you remember the Heroes TV series fondly, chances are, along with Sylar and the cheerleader, Claire Bennet, another standout character who likely comes to mind is Hiro Nakamura. Played by Masi Oka, the geeky, comic-book loving and wide-eyed Hiro was a breath of fresh air on the show, whose exuberance was matched by his formidable time travel and teleportation powers. Well, Hiro is returning for Heroes Reborn, it has been confirmed.

He will be joining another alumni, the man in the horn rimmed glasses, aka Noah Bennet and of course, Claire’s father, played by Jack Coleman. In case that is not enough geek presence in the forthcoming series to inspire, then here’s a reminder – Zachary Levi (Chuck) is also coming along for the ride.

To his credit, Nakamura has not exactly been without work since Heroes ended, playing a somewhat geeky coroner in Hawaii Five-0 – that is, the present day reboot, not the original series from the 70’s and 80s (in case you thought his time travel abilities were real).
