Huawei now offers Power-M digital power solution in SA
By Staff Writer 27 January 2023 | Categories: newsApart from the launch of the Mate 50 Pro smartphone last night, Huawei also introduced a back-up power solution called the Power-M. This hybrid power offering can integrate power from the grid, solar, battery or generators to provide backup power for residences, households and apartments.
There are a few interesting aspects that stand out about Huawei’s offering. Firstly, the integrated design provides an all-in-one back-up power supply without multiple pieces of equipment and dangerous cables protruding. It’s a sleek looking unit that will not clash with stylish interior design, with a frosted enamel finish and a visual power display that is easy to understand.
Furthermore, the Power-M is modular, meaning that you can expand the capacity of your solution by purchasing further energy storage modules. The capacity of each battery is 5 kWh, with the design allowing the system to be configured with up to six batteries, giving a maximum capacity of 45kWh.
Importantly, Huawei notes a ten-year warranty on the unit, with troubleshooting taking place through the FusionSolar app. The company notes that if the unit breaks down, a replacement will be provided instead of having to send it for repairs. Also worth noting is the natural heat dissipation of the unit, which means no noisy fan and a silent design of less than <29 db operating noise.
Huawei’s Power-M backup power solution is sold through a partner-network in the country, with installation (a speedy two-hours apparently) taking place through partners.
