Later this week at Tech Fest in London, Jaguar will have something quite interesting in store with its Sayer connected steering wheel. This piece of car tech could very well be a game changer, as its voice-controlled AI functionality allows drivers to essentially steer their vehicles hands-free, according to the British carmaker.

Along with taking care of the driving, should you need it to, Sayer is also imbued with the same kind of functions as one may expect from their smartphone's digital assistant. To that end, Jaguar notes that Sayer could, for example plan the best time to wake up for an 8:00 meeting, factoring in elements like traffic, and then setting an alarm for users.

At this stage, Sayer remains a concept, with it going on show at the Tech Fest in the University of the Arts London, from 7 September to 10 September. A part of the Jaguar Future-Type concept that focuses on what mobility will look like in 2040 and beyond, the Sayer could be bringing the truly connected car to fruition.
