As one of the world’s largest TV manufacturers, LG knows a thing or two about display technology. Good then for gamers that this knowledge carries over to its Ultragear line of gaming monitors. With the latest two monitors added, it’s all about the mix of strong hardware, ergonomics, and sleek designs. Unveiled locally to media yesterday, the LG UltraGear 24GN600-B and 27GN650-B monitors will be available to buy on 13 October locally.

The 24GN600-B full-HD (1920 x 1080) monitor comes in at 23.8” and helps with game immersion by offering offers decent speeds - 1ms GTG (Grey to Grey) for smoother gameplay. This is further supported by a refresh rate of 144Hz for rapid responses and less motion-blur. The monitor also provides HDR10 with sRGB 99% (Typ.) for realistic game environments.

And with HDR10 True Colours, players can be immersed in realistic gaming environments with rich, true-to-life colours and contrast, according to LG. To help you get an edge, the monitor is integrated with AMD FreeSync Premium, which reduces screen tearing and stuttering.

The bigger brother – the UltraGear 27” 27GN650-B monitor (1920 x 1080) also boasts a 144 Hz refresh rate, great colour accuracy and dynamic contrast. It is NVIDIA-tested and G-SYNC compatible, which according to LG means gamers can enjoy smoother visuals on screen, and frames take a lot quicker to load.

Both monitors do not disappoint when it comes to looks, providing an interesting LED circular light at the back, plus they can be adjusted in height, or tilt and pivot. As far as input is concerned, there are 2x HDMI, plus one DisplayPort, alongside a headphone jack. At this stage, the local prices of the monitors are not yet known - we'll keep you updated.
