Yes, it is July and half the year is already gone. While you mull that over for awhile, LG is readying to debut its second flagship of 2017 - the V30. Last year's iteration impressed us immensely, which is why the new model is hotly anticipated.

According to reports, LG plans to do so on 31 August, a couple of days before IFA 2017 in Berlin gets underway. The South Korean manufacturer is also set to make the unveiling in the German capital, which likely means the V30 will be a fixture at LG's IFA booth.

As far as specifications and design go, nothing is written in stone at the moment, but it is suggested that the V30 will draw upon the G6 for inspiration. Just like the recently revealed Q6 mid-range trio, a 2:1 aspect ratio is anticipated, along with the same FullVision technology as the G6.

Internally, LG may be upping things to Qualcomm's Snapdragon 835 CPU, with a different orientation for the rear dual camera setup being touted. With the G6 a solid effort, we're expecting the V30 to build on that showing.
