Latest LG V30 leak gives us best look yet at forthcoming flagship
By Robin-Leigh Chetty 17 August 2017 | Categories: newsIf you were wondering what LG had in store when it came to the design of the V30, wonder no more, as serial leaker Evan Blass has outed the forthcoming flagship phone a full two weeks before it was slated to be officially unveiled in Berlin on 31 August.
While leaks can often take the fun out of a hotly anticipated phone launch, this latest one does offer us a good look at the V30. To that end, it's a supremely eye catching device, with influence from LG's G6 and the Samsung Galaxy S8 evident, in our opinion. Whether it can match the performance of the latter remains to be seen, but if the picture alone, as well as rumoured specs, are anything to go by, LG's true flagship phone of 2017 will be the V30.

As we take a closer look at the leaked images, the V30 appears to be a svelte device, with sweeping curves on the edges, compared to the G6's more subtle ones. As such, it should sit a bit better in hand, which is an important consideration for a device that will be around the 6" mark. Added to that will be the Full Vision (2:1 aspect ratio) display, that will see a longer body for the V30 compared to the impressive LG V20.
If the South Korean company can nail down the specs, as well as ensure the UI is clutter-free, along with throwing a few nifty features, they might just have a real winner on their hands. Whether or not that will be the case will have to wait until 31 August, a day before IFA 2017 kicks off.
