When you're innovating on a budget and aiming to generate some much needed funds, KickStarter is often the go-to move. With a massive number of projects on its site, it's sometimes difficult to separate the wheat from the chaff. Thankfully though, Kickstarter has a staff picks page, where the best of the best projects are given their time to shine. Joining those ranks is the Lego-inspired Brik Case, which carries the lofty moniker of being the most customisable laptop case ever designed.

While we cannot validate that claim, we can say that the Brik Case is one of the most interesting looking ones we've seen in quite some time. The concept comes courtesy of San Francisco-based company Jolt Team, who clearly have not left their love of building bricks back with their childhood memories.

According to Jolt Team, the Brik Case works with a number of building bricks and is not simply limited to Lego. It is also compatible with Mega Bloks, PixelBlocks, KRE-O and K’NEX bricks. Having already reached their Kickstarter goal of $30 000 with 24 days left to go, one Brik Case will set you back an estimated $40 for the Early Builer (MacBook Pro and MacBook Air model). That $40 will also get you a bag 'o bricks containing 100 pieces.

If you need some convincing, check out the Kickstarter video below (apologies in advance for the Dub Step).
