Mercedes-Benz debuts trio of new GT roadsters for 2019
By Robin-Leigh Chetty 14 May 2018 | Categories: NewsAlready thinking about a new supercar for next year? Let's turn your attention to Mercedes-Benz's latest offering, with the Stuttgart-based carmaker revealing three new models in its GT lineup for 2019.
All convertibles and featuring uniquely tuned versions of the same 4-litre V8 twin turbocharged engine under the bonnet, Mercedes-Benz will be launching the AMG GT, AMG GT S and AMG GT C roadsters later this year for pre-order. They'll hit the road in 2019, with the AMG GT producing 355 kW, AMG GT S yielding 411 kW and AMG GT C pumping out 415 kW.
All three vehicles have a similar aluminium design, but as evidenced by their power outputs, also manage different 0-100 km/h times and top speeds. The king of the trio is the AMG GT C, which reach 100 km/h from a standstill in 3.6 seconds and has a top speed of 315 km/h.
It's unclear if all three models will be made available in South Africa, or indeed what their pre-order price will be, but a man can dream.
