Microsoft gives Xbox One S console 20 February pre-order date
By Robin-Leigh Chetty 17 February 2017 | Categories: newsAre you a local Xbox One gamer that has been patiently awaiting the HDR (High Dynamic Range) gameplay that the slimmed down Xbox One S has to offer? Well, you're in luck as Microsoft South Africa has announced that the Xbox One S is going up for pre-order next week Monday - 20 February 2017.
40% smaller in size according to Microsoft, the Xbox One S also supports 4K Ultra HD video streaming and features a new controller. Arriving locally in two onboard storage sizes, 500 GB and 1 TB, the Xbox One S models are recommended to retail for R4 999 and R5 999 respectively.
At this stage, Microsoft SA has not detailed which retailers will initially stock the new console, but it appears as if the pre-orders will be bundled with a copy of FIFA 17, 12 month Xbox Live Gold membership and controller. Also unknown, is how many units will land locally with the first batch, but Microsoft SA hopes to confirm those details later this month. Nevertheless, it's time to check in between your couch cushions for some spare change.
