Two years ago at E3, DICE made the announcement that it was working on a new Mirror's Edge game. After a long wait, we now have a few more details, as a new real-life trailer has surfaced to amp up anticipation for the game, expected to debut at E3 this year.

Designed to look exactly like the 2008 original, this new "Real Life Time Trial" video sees our protagonist Faith Connors, played by a dude wearing a wig as far as we can tell, leaping from building to building and giving us intense vertigo at the same time.

According to Sara Jansson, senior producer on Mirror's Edge Catalyst, the game is in no way a sequel, as the DICE team has looked at every aspect of the original game, and tried making it an entirely new experience. "We have landed on a vision that honors the first game — pushing the boundaries of first person movement and diving deeper into the story behind our heroine Faith — but also brings a lot of great new, interesting gameplay and features to the experience for our players," says Jansson.

While we'll have to wait till next week for a better look at Catalyst, check out the insane "Real Life" trailer below.
