Netflix debuts teaser trailer for Marvel's Luke Cage
By Robin-Leigh Chetty 21 March 2016 | Categories: newsNetflix's plans for its group of Marvel superheroes, the Defenders, is starting to take shape. The second season of Daredevil is already available for streaming, and Jessica Jones has also proved a hit. Now Luke Cage is the latest hero to get his own Netflix-produced TV series, with Mike Coulter (Halo: Nightfall) taking on the role of Power Man (one of Cage's pseudonyms). To drum up interest in the series debut, Netflix embedded a teaser clip in Daredevil's credits.
It features Coulter taking on a barrage of bullets, none of which do any damage, before dispatching of some pesky henchmen. While Luke Cage played a significant role within Jessica Jones' first season, whether or not vice versa will apply, remains to be seen. Also unclear is who Coulter's nemesis in all this will be, as Cage has taken on a number of Marvel villains in the comics.
Nevertheless, this short clip is worth a view. Hit play and enjoy.
