New Lara Croft game announced
By Ryan Noik 17 April 2015 | Categories: newsWhile fans wait patiently for the next Tomb Raider title, there is some sweet Lara Croft related news, with another new game apparently impending from Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics. No, it’s not another triple AAA console game, but rather Lara Croft: Relic Run, a mobile endless runner for Android, iOS and Windows platforms.
Before you turn up your nose, as evidenced by the trailer below, the game looks like it will stay true to the spirit of Lara’s escapades, with players having to dodge and weave past deadly traps, use acrobatic skills to escape crumbling ruins, and oh yes, pilot a few vehicles. Additionally, there will apparently be boss battles as well, including the very memorable T-Rex.
Considering how strongly Looney Tunes Dash managed to port its franchise to the endless runner format, while still keeping things fun, fresh and distinctive, we have high hopes for Crystal Dynamics to manage to do the same. Best news is that the game will be free. There is no word yet though, whether there will be in app purchases. The game is expected to arrive in the respective stores in the next few months.
