Puma is going full throttle with their Hybrid technology, incorporating it into more and more shoes going forward. Their latest is the Hybrid NX model, a smart looking shoe aimed, it seems, at cross training and the everyday runner.

Hybrid incorporates two of Puma's innovations - Ignite foam for better cushioning and Ngry Beads that propel the foot forward after impact. We tested this in the Puma Hybrid Runner, noting that " If you are used to more flat runners, you will pick up a certain springy-ness when you hit the road and on release of your stride."

If there is one thing Puma usually gets right, it's the design, and the sleek Hybrid NX does the same. Here you have blue evoKnit knitted uppers and a heel clip to help with support. With spots of white and red tones it certainly looks the part of a streetwear shoe, and hopefully the company will also bring in the black Hybrid NX Cauting with its "Blazing Yellow" colourway.

The Hybrid NX, will retail for for R1 699, once available on 1 March in Puma stores, Edgars, Superbalist, Studio 88, Totalsports, Takealot and selected retailers.
