New Xbox One update will include Do Not Disturb mode
By Robin-Leigh Chetty 10 January 2018 | Categories: newsTo usher in the New Year, Microsoft has detailed an upcoming update for Xbox One gamers. The update is currently headed the way of Xbox Insiders, where they'll be able to check out and test some of the new additions.
Among them, one of the more interesting is a Do Not Disturb mode, as well as Mini Game Hubs that will serve as guides, along with being able to schedule theme changes.
Regarding the Do Not Disturb mode, it will suppress all notifications and let user's friends know that they are not available to play a game at the moment. It's unclear, however, whether the mode can be calibrated, perhaps allowing certain friend's notifications through.
Also unknown is whether those chats, messages and party invites will all pop up once Do Not Disturb is toggled off. That we guess is what the Xbox Insiders will find out and provide feedback on before the new update rolls out to all Xbox One gamers, which is said to happen in the next couple of weeks.
