For the most part, posts from Facebook friends looking for a Farmville cow have luckily dried up. But that does not mean cooperative farming practices are set to end anytime soon. Not if the latest Farming Simulator 15 has got anything to do with it at least. Available for PC already, the console versions are set to appear on 19 May.

A new video has just been released showing off the online cooperative multiplayer mode for the PS4 and Xbox One, a first for Farming Simulator on consoles. Inviting other players in your game opens up many opportunities for developing your farm, including increasing your productivity by sharing tasks or cooperating on bigger tasks and develop your farm faster thanks to their help.

While this might not be the kolkhoz farming practices Stalin might have had in mind, some activities can be more efficiently executed using several vehicles simultaneously. For example, one player driving a tractor equipped with a trailer-container can follow another player driving a combine-harvester and then receive in real-time the crops freshly harvested, so the harvester doesn't need to regularly interrupt his job to clear out its container.

Farming Simulator 15 includes the following features:
