Nintendo releases more Legend of Zelda footage to fawn over
By Robin-Leigh Chetty 2 December 2016 | Categories: newsNintendo has the Switch hybrid console on the way next year, but on the gaming side, it's The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild that has our immediate attention. The title was showcased in part via Nintendo's Treehouse event at E3 earlier in the year, and now two new trailers have been unveiled for a better look.
The first video, titled Life in the Ruins, lays the scene for the open-world that Nintendo has created. We get to see a bit of action as Link tackles multi-legged robots and deals with the events following an explosion that decimates the kingdom of Hyrule.
Next up is a Let's Play with two Treehouse employees, as they take viewers through a quest to discover a particular shrine. Let's Play is showcased in the Wii U, with the game also slated for release on the Switch, which should deliver a stronger graphics performance.
Added to the better look at this title, the fighting mechanics were also showcased to great effect, along with the vast inventory library for Breath of the Wild. As such, it appears that exploration and searching for resources will play a big part in the game as taking on quests will.
