It's November and that means a little over one month until we greet 2016. As such, it's that time of year when the best products and devices get recognised. The gaming world too will pay homage to the best its industry had to offer, with The Game Awards scheduled to happen 3 December in Los Angeles, California. The nominees for the awards show have also been detailed, and for those unable to jet to Cali, the event will be livestreamed as well.

While there are 22 different categories on the night, the one everybody will have their eye on is Game of the Year. The nominees for 2015 are Bloodborne (review), Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain (review), Fallout 4, Super Mario Maker and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. As for who will take the coveted prize home, The Game Awards will leverage the expertise of a panel of judges from 32 international publications.

Some of the more interesting categories include Developer of the Year, which will see Bethesda Game Studios, CD Projekt Red, From Software, Kojima Productions and Nintendo square off. Not so coincidentally, those are all the studios behind the GoTY titles. Another hotly contested category is performance of the year, as voice actors go head to head. The nominees are Ashly Burch as Chloe Price in cult hit Life is Strange, Camilla Luddington as Lara Croft for Rise of the Tomb Raider (review), Doug Cockle voicing Geralt in The Witcher 3, Mark Hamill as the Clown Prince of crime for Batman: Arkham Knight and Viva Seifert for Her Story.

The livestream will happen 4:00 AM local time on the 4th of December, but for more info head here.
