P.T., the teaser game which was meant to herald the next entry in the Silent Hill franchise, has not just been made unavailable on the PS store in the wake of Silent Hills’ cancellation, it apparently has disappeared into some virtual netherworld. According to Kotaku, players who have already downloaded it onto their PS4 consoles won’t be able to redownload it should they delete it or change their hard drive.

This wasn’t the case at the end of April, when it was announced that there could be no new downloads of the teaser game, but players who had it in their library could still redownload it again if need be. Now however, the game appears to be gone for good.

Sadly, it seems like P.T.’s – and Silent Hills - fate is largely due to the upheaval between Kojima and Konami, with the former slated to leave Konami upon the completion of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. In a way, P.T. has become a phantom in its own right.
