The newest batch of incoming free games for PS Plus subscribers for October have been confirmed, and they are certainly a motley crew. They include the graphic adventure Broken Age for the PS4 and PS Vita, as well as the platformer Super Meat Boy for the same two platforms.

The former, and the one we are most looking forward to, is a coming of age story, which explores the perspective of two protagonists Vella Tartine and Shay Volta, who are on vastly different worlds. The latter then  puts you in the shoes of Meat Boy, a red, cube-shaped character, as he attempts to rescue his girlfriend, Bandage Girl, from the game’s antagonist Dr. Fetus.

Across more than 300 levels, you must attempt to reach the end of each level, while avoiding crumbling blocks, deadly saw blades, and various other fatal obstacles.

Also onboard is Unmechanical Extended for the PS3 and PS4, which follows a lone robot trapped in an underground complex. The game combines tricky puzzle-solving, alluring exploration and engrossing atmosphere, promising to be easy to pick up and play, but challenging enough to test your logic, memory and wits.

This is rounded up with a light-hearted co-op platformer Chariot (PS3 only), wacky side-scroller Kung Fu Rabbit (PS Vita and PS3), and rhythm-based martial arts fighter Kickbeat (PS Vita and PS3).

As with all new additions, the previous month’s offerings leave the store, so you have until the 6^th of October to secure Grow Home, Super Time Force Ultra, Twisted Metal, Teslagrad, Xeodrifter, La Mulana EX and Driveclub PS Plus Edition if you haven’t already.
