PlayStation asking users to beta test its upcoming update
By Staff Writer 20 August 2015 | Categories: newsIf you fancy yourself pretty adept at finding faults and errors, then Sony's upcoming PS4 beta test signup might be right up your alley. Before they launch the next major system software update for PlayStation 4, the gaming company will be running a beta program to test out its functionality.
To that end, PlayStation has asked any users interested in getting a sneak peek at software update v2.57, before it makes gets officially rolled out, to sign up.
Logically, you'll need a PS4 console and reliable internet connection in order to test. Furthermore, this beta test sign up is only for master account holders, so be sure to check your status before attempting to sign up.
The beta program will begin on 2 September, with PlayStation divulging more information on the new features included in the upcoming system software update closer to that time. Sony has stated that only a limited number of testers will be accepted, and advised to sign up sooner rather than later.
