The Rockstar Editor application for Grand Theft Auto V (review) is nothing new, with the company detailing it back in April this year. It has however, only been enjoyed by PC GTA V players. That's about to change though, as Rockstar Games will be bringing the video editor to the PS4 and Xbox One next month. The precise date in September still remains elusive, but Rockstar Games confirms that this next-gen console rollout of the editor will bring some new features to the fore.

More specifically, the soundscape has been enhanced, with a range of ambient sound effects being added to the library. Added to this, the Director mode has been given a boost, as gamers can freeze specific times of day and spawn air and water vehicles at will.

Rockstar Games says there will be more features and updates arriving in coming weeks, which should give gamers a good excuse to reacquaint themselves with GTA V. For a sampler of the editing fun, click on the trailer after the break.
