Sid Lee debuts app that counts almost everything
By Robin-Leigh Chetty 25 February 2015 | Categories: newsCould this Sid Lee app be a snapshot of a quantifiable future? Perhaps, but it's undoubtedly interesting to see in action. Sid Lee is a French creative agency (which also happens to be partly owned by Cirque du Soleil), and they have designed a new interactive dashboard app that congregates content taken from various types of sensors. They installed this dashboard in their offices, and it yielded some rather curious results.
It counted everything from the number of times that doors were opened and stairs were climbed to more amusing statistics like how many points were won playing ping pong in the office. It also provided some insight into how efficiently the office performed, recording that the most number of mistakes were made on 2 February (1329 mistakes to be precise). Although this app is not commercially available, it certainly should be. Check out the video after the break to see it in action, and see what you'd like it to quantify.
