Spacecraft: Batman limited edition watch aims to entice rich Dark Knight fans
By Staff Writer 28 September 2015 | Categories: newsWith Batman Day recently passed, Swiss watchmaker, RJ-Romain Jerome has come up with a timepiece that looks like it has been created in one of Wayne Enterprises’ laboratories. The company notes that it took inspiration from Batman’s “emblematic Spacecraft” and the Dark Knight’s mythology. Thus, the Spacecraft: Batman limited edition watch is a bit different to what you might be used to.
Crafted from titanium, this black trapeze shaped watch is said to mirror the finishing of the Batmobile. The faceted cap of the watch has been hand-brushed, with the iconic Bat-Signal engraved on the facet.
If you look at the unit, it might not be obvious how to actually tell time. The hour display is revealed on the side of the case with a bright blue indicator and is read off laterally. The minute indicator is featured on a black rotating disc with a blue cursor on the top of the case.
To round off the Batman inspired watch, you have a black and blue buffalo leather cuff to go round your wrist. How much you might ask? With a limited edition of 75 pieces, you would need Bruce Wayne’s bank balance, with Forbes reporting they go at $32 950 a pop.
