The seventh season of Game of Thrones kicks off later this year, 16 July to be more precise, bringing with it plenty to fawn over and dissect as the houses of Westeros fight once again. 

There is, however, a far graver threat on the horizon, as the White Walkers from beyond the wall make their presence known. This is the sense we get from the first teaser from GoT season seven, which debuted on YouTube a few hours ago. 

In it, statues representing each house become intertwined with one another, as famous quotes from past and present characters play in the background. All the statues then crumble and disintegrate, when the cold dead eye of White Walker engulfs the screen. 

With more teasers and fully fledged trailers likely on the way between now and 16 July, GoT fans have plenty to look forward to.
