Tesla has come under the spotlight in the past few months over its self-driving system. In an effort to improve the sensors and software to the system following a fatal crash in July, the company made several enhancements to the onboard equipment for all its new electric vehicles. To showcase what those changes have yielded, Tesla recent released a video to demonstrate how the self-driving system views and analyses different objects on the road.

The company's ever-vocal CEO, Elon Musk, also took to Twitter to share the video.

The video features one of Tesla's cars (unclear which model), with a person in the driver's seat. His involvement is purely for legal reasons, as stated at the beginning of the video, and he is said not to have driven the vehicle in any capacity.

Along with a view from inside the vehicle, there is also footage from the front exterior, along with left and right rear view cameras. All three additional cameras show how the camera interprets different objects, with other cars shown in green. Whether or not this is indeed how the new self-driving system works, remains to be seen, but it's clear Tesla is making efforts to improve the quality of its software and trying to put driver's minds at ease.
