The Last Guardian's release delayed (again) until 6 December
By Robin-Leigh Chetty 13 September 2016 | Categories: newsIt was bound to happen, wasn't it? The PlayStation-exclusive, The Last Guardian, has been delayed once again. This time round its release date has been pushed back to 6 December later this year, as opposed to the previous one of 25 October.
The PlayStation blog says creator and developers, Fumito Ueda, gen DESIGN and JAPAN Studio, have identified a few bugs requiring attention, hence the delay. It isn't that long either, only six weeks more than originally intended.
For a game that has been on and off development since 2007, this latest delay is almost to be expected. It's not the first time that a PlayStation-exclusive title has been delayed numerous times, with Naughty Dog's Uncharted 4 taking almost a year later than initially anticipated to see the light of day. As far as that title is concerned, the wait was certainly worthwhile.
Arriving only on the PS4, with a 4K PS4 Pro version also likely, watch the E3 2015 gameplay trailer for The Last Guardian after the break and see why it just could be one of the must-play titles of 2016.
