Trailer for first Fallout 4 add-on, Automatron, arrives
By Robin-Leigh Chetty 15 March 2016 | Categories: newsFallout 4 pretty much owned gaming in 2015, but by now you've likely completed most of what Bethesda's post-apocalyptic world has to offer. Luckily, the first add-on for Fallout 4, Automatron, has just been announced, bringing with it a battle that pits man against machine.
The game is slated for arrival on PS4, Xbox One and Windows PC come 22 March, and will be available to download on all three platforms. Although SA pricing is unconfirmed, the PlayStation Blog has it listed at $9.99.
In Automatron, gamers are met with with the mysterious Mechanist, a man we're assuming, built and unleashed a horde of destructive robots across the Commonwealth. As such, gamers are tasked with hunting these robots down, and killing them for parts to build and mod their own robotic creation. As such, this will no doubt put your crafting skills to the test, something that Fallout 4 placed heavy emphasis on as part of its gameplay.
Along with the announcement of Automatron, Bethesda also detailed plans for the upcoming months. In April, they're expanding the capabilities of settlements with the Wasteland Workshop. May also holds some worthwhile events, as gamers will be able to travel past the confines of the Commonwealth to Maine, and Far Harbour. According to Bethesda, it's the largest land mass they've ever designed post-launch for any of their games.
We've also been told to stay tuned for free updates arriving for the Survival Mode and Creation Kit. The latter will allow users to create mods on their PC, then port them over to either one of the console platforms.
Until then, click on the trailer below and watch the robotic apocalypse unfold.
