Comic books, TV series, movies and now… podcasts. Marvel is bringing a fan favourite to the realm of podcasts, with Wolverine getting his own series. Coming in Autumn 2018, Wolverine: The Long Night will feature 10 half-hour episodes and sees our adamantium hero debut on Stitcher Pro’s paid-for service first.

According to TechCrunch, The Long Night will be part mystery, part fantasy, with agents on the hunt for a serial killer in Alaska. All suspicions, of course, fall on Logan, who now has to deal with being a suspect, and trying to find the real killer.

How much old-school radio drama will appeal to a modern audience, schooled on visuals rather than audio, remains to be seen, but Marvel has opted to go the full-Monty for this one. Voicing Wolverine is Brit Richard Armitage, who starred in The Hobbit and Captain America: The First Avenger, while the voice-talents of 30 Rock’s Scott Adsit and Brian Stokes Mitchell of Mr. Robot are also employed. Benjamin Percy (Green Arrow/Teen Titans/James Bond) has been tasked to write the script.

Wolverine: The Long Night debuts on Stitcher Pro in Autumn 2018, but will come to other platforms after that for free.
