With ICT lines blurring and the industry focusing on the convergence of mobility and cloud, mobility merging with infrastructure technology and security heading up the priority list; the modern IT leader has found themselves having to take a business-first approach to technological decisions.

As the IT and tech worlds move from operating in independent silos to a fully integrated business platform, industry leaders are coming together to work hand in hand to grow their business through technology.

5 Months ago, an advisory panel including Sunil Joshi, MD and CEO for Neotel; David Visser, CIO for Coca-Cola Southern Africa; Joe Okleberry, Internet Strategist for Naspers and Barbara Mallinson, Founder & CEO for Obami joined forces with international conference and exhibitions producer, Kinetic.

When recently asked why she started Obami during an interview by Tech Magazine, Barbara answered that "When something needs help, it's ripe for disruption" understanding the promising future of online and that education in South Africa needed help. (Tech: Movers & Makers August 2015)
