AMD has released the ATI Catalyst version 10.4 drivers for the ATI Radeon HD range of graphics cards. The 10.4 version brings a few fixes and improvements such as H.264 Level 5.1 support, allowing ATI graphics cards to playback 5.1 level video streams on all supported media players.
Some of the fixes include the one addressing the desktop mouse issue within Windows, which lets the mouse cursor appear enlarged. There’s also a fix for Battlefield 2: Bad Company, tackling the problem of the maps that take unusually long to finish loading. This fix is only for the ATI Radeon HD 5000 range though and PC gamers using lower-end cards from the Radeon HD range will still have to contend with that problem.
