Acer will launch the Aspire 5755 at the end of this month, which is squarely aimed at catering for consumers’ entertainment, everyday and multi-tasking needs.

The Aspire 5755 takes advantage of the second generation Intel Core processor family, intended to deliver smart performance that adapts to users’ requirements and dynamic processing power for music, gaming, videos, movies, photos, social networking and other demanding mainstream applications.

The notebook will be available with a choice of Intel Core i3, i5 or i7 configurations, along with turbo boost technology 2.0 and heightened media capabilities offered by Intel’s Sandy Bridge processors.

The Aspire 5755 notebook will  offer up to eight gigabytes of DDR 3 memory, Nvidia’s 540M GPU, a 15.6” screen, and a hard drive of up to one terabyte capacity.  Additional features include large keys on the keyboard and a numeric pad, along with a multi-gesture touchpad that supports zooming and rotating.

The Acer Aspire 5755 will be available in August.

And yet, there’s more
The notebook will also offer Acer’s ‘Crystal Eye’ high performance HD webcam and built-in microphone, while the mic/earphone combo jack will enable consumers to listen to music or watch a movie on the notebook with their smartphone’s headset.

Additionally, the Aspire 5755 will boast an enhanced sound system via optimised Dolby advanced audio, optional Blu-ray player, and a multi-in-one card reader that supports the latest high-capacity storage media.

Furthermore, the notebook will come equipped with clear.fi, Acer’s cross-platform solution that automatically detects all clear.fi-enabled devices connected to the wireless home network. All digital content saved on any of the devices can then be shared seamlessly using the clear.fi media interface.

Finally, in recognition of the importance design plays in consumer’s enjoyment of their notebooks, the Aspire’s cover has a striped pattern.

The Aspire 5755 will be available in brown, black, red and blue, and will have a RRP of R10 000.
