Asus has announced that it is running a new initiative for Mandela Day. In celebration of the father of the Rainbow Nation’s 93rd birthday, the company is giving away a top-of-the-line P8P67 Deluxe motherboard.

Nelson Mandela turned 93 yesterday (18 July) and the call has gone out for people everywhere to celebrate his birthday by acting on the idea that each person has the power to change the world.

To celebrate this special day, ASUS South Africa has decided to find out why you are proud to be a South African.

All you have to do to enter this competition is tell Asus, in 67 characters, why you love South Africa. Why you love living here, why you love being here, or what makes you “Proudly South African”?

The competition will run for two weeks, kicking off on Mandela Day, and running up until 1 August 2011. You can post your comments on the ASUS South Africa Facebook or Twitter pages.
