Adobe unveils its latest photo- and video editing software

Adobe today announced the release of Photoshop Elements 9 as well as Premiere Elements 9 for Windows and Mac, which are the latest versions of the company’s popular photo- and video-editing software.
Both Photoshop Elements 9 as well as Premiere Elements 9 are available as either standalone products or as a single retail package and will see the introduction of Premiere Elements to Apple's Mac computers.
“For the first time, both Windows and Mac users can do more with their photos and video with Photoshop Elements 9 and Premiere Elements 9 bundle – a unified solution for all photo and video needs,” said Kevin Connor, vice president of product management for Digital Imaging, Adobe.
“With industry-leading products like Photoshop and Premiere Pro in the family, Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements are uniquely positioned to leverage the technology the pros use. Our goal is to deliver our customers intelligent and accessible features that do all the heavy lifting, empowering them to easily share high-impact memories with friends and family.”
This latest announcement comes in the wake of Adobe’s release of an HTML5 Pack for Adobe Illustrator CS5. No details concerning the local pricing has been released yet.
