Adding to the barrage of new all-in-one (AIO) printer models that Canon South Africa recently announced, are two new entry-level compact black-and-white laser printers for the small or home office, the i-SENSYS LBP6000 and i-SENSYS LBP6200d.

The i-SENSYS LBP6200d is Canon’s most affordable automatic double-sided black-and-white laser printer, which will provide users with savings in paper costs as well as printing time. Both printers are capable of 2 400 x 600 dpi print quality ensuring sharp line text and improved detail. Printing speed is also a quick 18 ppm on the i-SENSYS LBP6000 and an impressive 25 ppm on the i-SENSYS LBP6200d.

“The compact design and small footprint of the i-SENSYS LBP6000 and i-SENSYS LBP6200d allows them to fit perfectly into any small or home office working environment,” stated Jacob Mogale, product manager at Canon SA.

“Canon’s i-SENSYS laser technology is ideal for users who require professional looking documents and clear images, quickly and frequently. The two devices will suit users that require consistency, speed and quality from their black and white laser printer.”

Both units are already available locally, with the LBP6000 carrying a recommended retail pricetag of R1033, whilst the LBP6200d goes for an RRP of R1640.

Joining these two entry-level printing devices will be the company’s high-performance network-ready black-and-white laser printer, the i-SENSYS LBP6750dn, aimed at workgroup settings in the public sector and corporations.

Canon’s new flagship black-and-white printer is capable of printing a very speedy 40 ppm, and also sports full auto duplex print capability to save on paper cost. Users can employ its built-in network interface to share the printer with all their colleagues over the company’s network and this unit can also be monitored from an internet browser, using the Remote User Interface.

Large printing jobs can be done on the LBP6750dn without the need to reload paper trays, as it boasts two optional paper trays bringing a combined maximum sheet capacity of a whopping 1600 A4 papers. It is also already available in South Africa for a recommended R5799.
