Web Africa announced today that it will launch a free gaming service, WAGE, for customers on December 10, 2009.

Gamers with a Web Africa ADSL account will enjoy free access (i.e. using none of their bandwidth cap while gaming) to Call of Duty 4, Call of Duty: World at War, Counter Strike: Source, and Team Fortress 2 online.

Web Africa has attributed the creation of the service to their recent upgrade to a Tier 1 ISP. “Having our own network makes it possible to control speed and reliability, ensuring that response times are optimal for gaming,” said Johnathan Enslin, Web Africa games master.

Web Africa are collaborating with Organised Chaos, gaming infrastructure experts, to deliver the service. While the service will only launch with free access to these four titles, the company is looking into expanding the offering. According to Enslin, “Web Africans will be part of the process in that they can define which additional games we introduce through an online vote via the games forum.”

More information about account configurations and necessary game patches will be made available on the Web Africa gaming forum.
