After the micro-blogging site Twitter united two brothers, it gained yet another new use last week when it was used to announce the execution of a convicted murderer in the States.  
 
According to the BBC, Mark Shurtleff, the Attorney General for the American state of Utah, used Twitter to announce the execution of convicted murderer Ronnie Lee Gardner.
 
“I just gave the go ahead to Corrections Director to proceed with Gardner’s execution. May God grant him the mercy he denied his victims,” Shurtleff tweeted from his iPhone.
 
Gardner was executed by way of firing squad on Friday.
