Chomp app for iPhone
By Hanleigh Daniels 13 January 2010 | Categories: newsApple is definitely leading the pack when it comes to application downloads. It already reached the 3 billion mark in apps downloaded over its popular App Store and now has over 115 000 apps available for download to iPhone and iPod touch customers. It's almost six times more than their closest competition Android Marketplace, which still find itself in the 20 000 range.
Now there’s even a free iPhone app available that helps you find iPhone apps on the App Store. The app is called Chomp and it looks similar to Twitter, only instead of tweets it displays live app reviews so that you can learn more about what apps there are available to download, what they do and also what users think of them.
The applications that will be recommended to you are also personalised as Chomp 'learns' which type of software you like. It does this by recommending applications based on the ratings that you give your reviewed apps.
