Games developer THQ today announced that it will be releasing a drawing tablet which has been designed exclusively for use with Nintendo’s Wii console.

Referred to as the uDraw, it allows users to draw on a 4” by 6” area and offers a detachable stylus. It also docks with and draws power from the Wii remote.

Additionaly, the uDraw GameTablet also features tilt-and-roll movement options, allowing players to interact and control in-game characters by moving and directing them through game levels. SD-card support enables players to save and print their artwork and other uDraw creations.

In response Nintendo has announced a Wii version of Pictionary, which will be sold separately and will integrate with the uDraw.

Currently the uDraw is expected to retail for $69 (roughly R450) and Pictionary for Wii for $29 (roughly R250). THQ has confirmed that both will be released in time for the festive season.
