The first update for the MeeGo v1.0 Core Software Platform & Netbook User Experience project release has been announced.
 
According to Dawn Foster, Intel community manager for MeeGo, this update contains more than 100 bug fixes and is recommended for all users running MeeGo 1.0. It will enhance the stability, compatibility as well as security of netbooks.
 
This update also contains enhancements for the web browser, while several email client issues have been resolved. USB storage finding time has been improved from five seconds to one, with improvements also made on 3D performance. 
 
In related news, pics of an Aava smartphone running on Intel’s X86 chip (Moorsetown) and operating on an early version of MeeGo has also hit the web, courtesy of Carrypad.
