HTC and Beats Electronics reveals new HTC Sensation XE
By Hanleigh Daniels 15 September 2011 | Categories: newsTaiwanese smartphone and tablet maker HTC has unveiled its HTC Sensation XE, the first in a new line of HTC smartphones to feature Beats Audio technology. According to the company, this will enable these smartphones to deliver studio quality audio.
Besides offering an audio quality enhancement, the HTC Sensation XE offers will also sport improved performance thanks to its speedier 1.5 GHz dual-core processor, which is quicker than the standard Sensation’s 1.2 GHz dual-core Snapdragon MSM8260 processor. The company said that battery life has also been enhanced, enabling users to listen to music, watch movies and browse the web for longer periods.
The ultimate audio experience
The HTC Sensation XE (measures 126.1 x 65.4 x 11.3 mm, weighs 151 g) is the first handset to offer a Beats Audio experience, a combination of software and hardware that allows users to “hear music the way the artist intended.” According to HTC, users will notice fuller bass, crisper vocals as well as a new level of audio clarity.
Coupled with the Beats by Dr. Dre in-ear headphones, this smartphone automatically switches to the Beats by Dr. Dre sound profile, to deliver audio tracks tuned specifically for the headphones.
