To say a gadget has an intuitive interface is high praise, but a truly thought responsive device is not yet a reality. Intel is hard at work though, attempting to make the computer mouse or even your finger redundant for device manipulation.

According to Computerworld.com Intel is currently working on a chip that will be implanted in the human brain, allowing people to control computers and other device by thought alone. “Imagine being able to surf the web with the power of your thoughts," says Dean Pomerleau, a researcher at Intel Labs Pittsburgh.

While privacy issues are almost certainly going to be raised and even religious concerns, the brain sensing technology that would make this chip a possibility is a long way off. As far as 2020 some speculate.
