MTN outlines iPhone 4 midnight launch plans

The anatomy of a winning customer experience strat...MTN has officially announced that it will release Apple’s highly anticipated iPhone 4 locally at midnight tonight (21 September) at selected MTN stores and that it will be rolled out to over 250 outlets by mid October.
The fourth-generation iPhone and successor to the Apple iPhone 3GS, the iPhone 4 is undoubtedly the most-anticipated and desired high-technology item of 2010. In fact, Apple reported selling three million iPhone 4 handsets within the first three weeks of its launch on 24 June – a clear indication of insatiable consumer demand for the product.
“With MTN investing billions of rands in network upgrades over the past two years, the Apple iPhone 4 and other smartphone users can rest safe in the knowledge that the network can handle the high-intensity data requirements thrown at it” said a company statement.
The iPhone 4 will be initially available at the following outlets:
