Earlier this year, MWEB caused a stir within the local ISP industry by launching a range of uncapped ADSL packages for consumers and businesses at a more affordable rate. Now MWEB Business has done the same by offering Bonded ADSL at up to 70% cheaper than the nearest comparable offering on the market.

Bonded ADSL entails combining up to four ADSL lines into a single router that creates a single channel, high speed link, effectively multiplying the speed of each line by the number of bonded lines. It provides very high speed broadband thus allowing for high upload and download speeds at an affordable price.

MWEB Business’ Bonded ADSL offering allows customers to choose from a variety of packages, including capped and uncapped options. All products include five usable static IP addresses.

Andre Joubert, GM of MWEB Business said MWEB remains committed to bringing South African internet in line with the rest of the world. “We continue to explore all avenues to drive down prices and greatly improve the internet experience for all South Africans. Our new Bonded ADSL prices once again demonstrate this commitment,” he said.

“Although Bonded ADSL is primarily structured for businesses that have more than 20 users on their network, our Bonded ADSL offering should also appeal to anyone that wants the fastest possible speeds at incredibly competitive prices. MWEB Business’s uncapped Bonded ADSL packages are a first in South Africa and are completely unshaped, and rate limiting is only applied once the data cap is reached on the capped offering, ensuring customers a continuous connection,” said Joubert.

MWEB’s Bonded ADSL service includes the free use of a Cisco 2811 router which will be remotely managed by MWEB Business’s technical support team.

Joubert continues, “Bonded ADSL should be a requisite for businesses wanting high speed connectivity, particularly for companies that regularly transfer large files, such as video and audio files and high-resolution images. The high-priced barriers to entry are longer an issue,” he says.
