More Silent Hill details emerge
By Hanleigh Daniels 11 January 2011 | Categories: newsAccording to US magazine Game Informer (GI), the highly anticipated eighth instalment within the popular Silent Hill series will be known as Silent Hill: Downpour.
The forthcoming title in Konami’s survival horror franchise will also apparently be boasting some new places within Silent Hill, and just like Quantic Dream’s PlayStation 3 exclusive, Heavy Rain, there’ll also be a whole lot of water.
The plot involves a prison inmate whose transport vehicle careens off the road while being transferred between facilities. Convict Murphy Pendleton now finds himself stranded alone in the town of Silent Hill.
Players will get to employ the environment to their advantage as they battle for survival against the eerie creatures inhabiting the spooky town. Everything from chairs to glass bottles and kitchen utensils will have to be utilised if players aims to stay alive.
Silent Hill: Downpour will be released this year for the PlayStation 3 as well as the Xbox 360.
