Mustek and Huawei Enterprise co-sign distribution deal
By Staff Writer 13 July 2011 | Categories: newsMustek and Huawei Enterprise have co-signed an agreement whereby Huawei grants Mustek distribution rights of the Huawei Enterprise range of products in South Africa.
The comprehensive Huawei Enterprise product range comprises of 3rd generation Routers, Switches, as well as a plethora of solutions in the Wireless, VOIP, Video Conferencing and Unified Communication arenas.
The product and solutions will be available for resale within six to eight weeks. Rather than selling directly in the enterprise and SME market, Huawei Enterprise Business Group has a very clear strategy of developing a channel sales model and growing together with partners.
This distribution agreement will enable Mustek to focus its sales and distribution activities at the Reseller channel and by extension to corporates, the government and the SMB segment.
According to Siobhan Hanvey, business unit manager at Mustek, the positive aspects for Mustek were its stability, impressive track record, brand network, established reseller base and the full support and services it offers.
She stated that expanding its offering with Huawei Enterprise products affords Mustek a significant breakthrough and, as a newcomer to the Enterprise market, Huawei has a fresh approach.
“Mustek’s impressive credentials have been recognised and rewarded,” Hanvey added. “Huawei Enterprise obviously had the confidence to support Mustek to achieve great success and Mustek will undoubtedly deliver in terms of the agreement.”
Dimitri Tserpes, CTO of Mustek stated: “Mustek has expanded its offering substantially over the past year, and adding an end-to-end networking solutions portfolio will support Mustek’s expansion into South African emerging markets, including data centre computing, virtualization and cloud computing.”
