Acer today announced the newest addition to its line of Acer Aspire Predator gaming PCs.

The machine features an overly impressive array of components including an Intel Core i7 930 CPU which clocks in at a frequency of 2.8 GHz and Nvidia’s GeForce GTX470 DirectX 11 compatible GPU.
 
In addition to this it also ships with 9 GB of DDR3 memory, with the option to expand to 12 GB.
 
"Designed to conquer and destroy, the Aspire Predator boasts a rugged, intimidating chassis as well as super power and speed," said Susan Hu, retail desktop product management for Acer. 
 
"It's a smoking hot gaming rig delivering eye-popping graphics and dynamic audio for a jaw dropping experience that will fire up even hard core gamers. Plus, plenty of room for future upgrades will assist gamers in their quest to reign supreme in the new world order."
 
Gamers will also appreciate the Predator’s 1TB internal SATA hard drive, with addition slots for four Serial ATA 3 G/bs high-capacity hard disks to be added with up to 2 TB(2) capacity per single drive for a total storage capacity of up to 8 TB. 
 
The machine also ships with Windows 7 Home Premium and will retail for $1 999 (approx. R15 000) in Canada. No word regarding a local release has yet been given.
